Surface Preparation
The substrate must be dry, firm, with uniform water absorption, and free of dust, grease, and mould. Previously painted surfaces must be sanded and, if necessary, primed with mineral primer ART PRIMER or DECOR PRIMER. Solvent-based primers are not permitted. Primer selection: for a softer, more uniform texture — use DECOR PRIMER; to accentuate the decorative nature of the finish with visible joins and colour variations — choose ART PRIMER.
Application
1. Tint the paint to the required shade and mix thoroughly until completely uniform. During application, re-stir every 5–10 minutes as the product tends to settle. Use a paint tray to reduce settling and maintain colour uniformity.
2. Apply with a brush or natural bristle brush in 2–3 coats using circular or cross-hatch strokes to create the desired pattern and texture depth.
3. Apply each subsequent coat only after the previous one has dried completely (touch-dry: 2–4 hours; fully dry: 24 hours).
4. To achieve a deeper, more artistic shade, combine different BOKE colours for smooth shade transitions and more pronounced texture.
5. After completing the main work, apply VELATURA VINTAGE MATT or VELATURA VINTAGE as a topcoat for protection and enhancement. Velatura Vintage Matt may be diluted with 40–50% water depending on the desired effect.
Warning
WARNING: Air and surface temperature must be between +5°C and +30°C. Avoid applying in direct sunlight, at high humidity, or when rain or frost is expected. The manufacturer accepts no liability for coating defects resulting from incorrect use, unsuitable surfaces, or changed conditions. Natural material characteristics including colour or shade non-uniformity are not defects. Always perform a test patch before starting full application.
